unraveled (2021)
unraveled (2021), 2:38 under the camera, stop motion animation is an under-the-camera, stop-motion animation about the artist's experiences living through the first five months of quarantine. The film addresses intense feelings of disconnectedness (from both the self and from everything beyond the boundaries of the artist's apartment), as well as attempts to avoid what feels like endless time for self-reflection.
MATERIALS USED: watercolor on paper, shredded black fabric, red clay, a piece of a paperclip, Bible cover, Bible paper, cut-out letterpress printed letters, black string, microscope footage of dyed testosterone oil and water for the background, floral fabric, tweed, multicolored sheer fabric squares, orange sheer fabric, marbled fabric squares, strips of denim, purple velvet, pink lace, white lace, various different shaped glitter, and googly eyes.
